ARTS THREAD caught up with young furniture designer, Lee Walsh at Tent London. We first spotted Lee at New Designers last year, as a graduate of Manchester Metropolitan University and, since then, he has been developing a new range of super-modern pieces with a distinct, futuristic handwriting, which he showed for the first time at Tent.

Lee is fascinated by construction – and his work has an elegant, light touch that marks him out from the crowd. The latest pieces he says are concerned with ‘industrial origami, optical illusion and super heritage’ and are industrially produced. Lee is one of just 10 new talents to be highlighted recently by the UK’s Elle Decoration.
