The autumn/winter bStore collection is entitled Weekend at Wyndham and the LFW presentation took place in a minimalist set of a woodland lodge, revisited through the eyes of artist Joseph Beuys.

Architect and set designer Tom Finch used inexpensive chipboard, felts and traditional fabrics that echo the tailoring twills in both collections. A short film by Ivana Bobic featuring mountainous landscapes, is projected onto the side of one of the ‘lodges.’

Weekend at Wyndham references outdoor functional clothing with elements of the British tradition of the aristocratic shooting party. Menswear looks to all-weather influences, with the cropped blazer now quilted and waxed, or given a hood.

Fabric directions include corduroy, textured tweeds and plaid wools, while knitwear is oversized, for example, slouchy tops with uneven cable patterns. Playing with volume, triple-pleated trousers are paired with shrunken jackets, as an update on traditional tailoring.

This collection sees the debut of a full womenswear collection, designed by Natascha Stolle. Nonchalant elegance is the atmosphere, with the use of wrap, twisted pleat and tie details that allow the wearer to add some degree of personalisation. With tailoring a strong b Store trademark, the womenswear has a soft, and sometimes draped, approach to tailored coats, boxy jackets and high-waited trousers.

Accessories designed by Kuni Awai include rucksacks and duffel bags for men and evening-focused clutch bags and hard-cased box bags for the ladies.
