Doii autumn/winter 2010/11
This February saw Doii show in London for the first time, with a catwalk show at Vauxhall Fashion Scout. The collection was an extremely luxurious treat to the eyes. Each design that went down the runway was made by hand and produced in some of Korea’s finest Couture studios.
The clothes that were presented displayed a beautiful contrast to other winter shows around, with one simple ingredient – sequins. Many of the designs and the patterns featured on the clothes were adorned with transparent sequins making the original pattern still visible, yet the garment sparkled as it hit the light.

The collection showed a range of heavy wool jackets some of which had a sequin detailed belt detail and others had a skull print lapel, again adorned with sequins. Alongside these coats were a range of beautiful skirts and dresses created out of custom printed fabrics and, of course, all with sequin and printed detailing.
The colours included the blacks, greys and whites of winter. However, with the vibrant prints on top, this collection is set to add a burst of colour into those dull winter days. There was a lighter and playful rose colour with floral printed detailing featured in the line, that was reminiscent of summer fun.
The entire range is eye catching and sparkles with confidence and is simply beautiful to behold. Doii is definitely one to watch – bringing glitz and glam into those winter months.
