Iris Van Herpen autumn/winter 2010/11
Iris Van Herpen’s A/W ‘10 collection certainly lived up to the hype and delivered on its promise to toy with all of our senses.
Yes, it had strobe lighting, fierce music and all that razzmatazz but when it came to the crunch, the Dutch designer stuck to what she is good at and worked the leather into an array of visually stunning creations.

Iris Van Herpen autumn/winter 2010/11
Van Herpen really is a master of her craft and proved that she has developed her style. Whereas last season, her creations concentrated on coils and pleats of leather features, this season she led us through a world of slashed metallic leather ribbon-like strips sculptured over a base of black and purple mini-dresses.
From twisted cords to web-like knots, Van Herpen has more than mastered her technique and with big shoulders, voluminous hips and feathers she created an eclectic mix and feast for the eyes.
