February 9-12 sees the visit of UK colleges exhibiting at Indigo, Paris – the textiles for fashion event that sits alongside Première Vision.

We look at three colleges exhibiting at the show. Chelsea College of Art & Design has been exhibiting for some time and above you can see the first digital print run of 25 metres of silk crepe de chine, being preparing to be steamed.

Val Jacobs from Colchester told ARTS THREAD: ‘Colchester School of Art and Design are preparing to show printed textiles at Indigo for the 2nd time. The 2nd and 3d year students on the BA hons Fashion Textiles programme have produced over 400 designs for the show using digital, screen, lasercutting and embroidery processes covering mens and womenswear. The work we will be showing has just come back from Directions in New York and is currently on appointments in LA with a London Studio. The work sold well last year so we are all looking forwards to a really successful show.’
