Samantha Tretton, De Montfort University

Lingerie, bodywear and swimwear came down the catwalk at Freemasons Hall, Covent Garden, London with final collections from the graduates of the De Montfort University Contour and Fashion Contour courses.

Samantha Tretton’s romantic 50s-inspired collection featured old gold needlepoint lace, used for a dramatic mini crinoline over structured chartreuse green and rose satin and silk. Bouquets of wheat and country flowers tied in red bows become ruffled bouffant overskirts.

Elizabeth Richardson, Emily-Ann Murray, De Montfort University

Elizabeth Richardson’s fencing-inspired collection came in white with brilliant cobalt blue and taupe highlights and trims, with corseted mini bustiers and both hipster and high-waist girdles, tied with decorative lacings.

Emily-Ann Murray looked to 30s and 40s vintage lingerie influences with softest pinks and ivory satin trimmed with cut-out floral embroidery and edged with a metallic thread. Camiknickers, French knickers and a full-length peignoir gown in satin.

Clare McKenna, De Montfort University

Clare McKenna’s cute collection featured dramatic silk and chiffon ruffles in rose pink or turquoise with ivory that created one-shoulder decoration to a bandeau top or around a cheeky hipster brief. A strapless mini corset dress in ivory matt/shine has asymmetric ruffle trim, while pleated effects run across a bandeau bra and knicker.

Carley Williamson, De Montfort University

Carley Williamson’s collection revolved around watercolour pastel tones outlined with an overscale floral print. A body with pussy-bow blouse top was shown with strapless all-in-one bustier and ivory plain-dye pieces trimmed with the print.

Edrima Wilsa Hanson’s collection took streamlined layers mixed with structured corset pieces incorporating leather and accented with metal jewellery pieces. Rachel Gagnon showed dramatic printed pieces in strong silhouettes accessorised by leggings made up of colourful shiny strips.
