Pablo de la Pena was the Winner of the Cyber-Duck Associate Award for his interactive media design idea, a service to capture and record footage of snowboarders at different angles whilst they are on the slopes.
SlopeScope consists of infrared goggles that allow the camera to interact and follow snowboarders. This information can then be easily sent to devices such as iPhones. One of Pablo’s main aims was to enable snowboarders to easily use the service that fulfills a true need in the market. The product allows the user to see themselves from a third-party perspective; whether it be for personal records or a more professional use. SlopeScope is a conceptual service that shares sport at its best.
Lois Skelton’s Murray & Willis Award winning interior design renovated the building ‘Point’ in Milton Keynes into a dynamic and sustainable travel interchange. The design is intended for people who use their bikes and public transport in and around the city centre.
With its outstanding attention to detail, Lois’s project showcases multi-use facilities that include a bicycle storage, a bag drop off service for shoppers and a waiting area for people using local bus services. The project’s intention is also to promote cycling. With a large bike shop inside and opportunities to make a discounted purchase for the use of storage facilities, ‘Point’ encourages travel awareness and an increase in the use of green transport.
