Each year during Amsterdam Fashion Week, Amsterdam Fashion Institute AMFI produces a collection under the brand name Individuals. Completley researched, designed, produced and marketed by the AMFI students themselves, the latest collection, the eleventh in the series, was unveiled this January 26 at Westergasfabriek and is called DUALS.

Poliical activist and eco-warrier fuse into elegant subdued colour and texture in natural tones. AMFI describes DUALS: ‘In this collection Individuals reacts with passion and force to today’s society with a raw streetwear collection, full of references to the city and to a nomadic lifestyle.’

‘DUALS refers to the duel between oneself and the outside world and to the duality between faith and insecurity. Progress and transience are the two key threads running through the collection, seeking the answer to the question: ‘What age are we living in?’
In addition to the collection Individuals presents a limited edition book inspired by ‘a desire to create a time document, which captures the interaction between contemporary fashion and society.’
