LFW 2012: Vauxhall Fashion Scout Ones To Watch

For the past five seasons, Vauxhall Fashion Scout has helped to launch the careers of a new generation of talented fashion designers. This year’s Ones to Watch showed their AW 2012 collections on 17 February in a runway show set in the Freemasons’ Hall, London.

Danish Academy of the Arts graduate Anne Sofie Madsen’s collection drew visual cues from Native American culture and featured some gorgeous fringing, beaded details and hand-drawn illustrations.

Heohwan Simulation’s
(RCA) womenswear collection featured masculine tailored jackets and oversized coats matched with pencil skirts and drainpipe trousers in black, blue and orange.

Myrza de Muynck’s tomboy-ish collection featured some dazzling embellishment and came in a delicate colour palette. The collection drew inspiration from 1920s fashion as well as contemporary sportwear.

Nova Chiu stole the show with a bright, colourful and fun collection. The garments juxtapose traditional Chinese dress with 1980s street fashion and featured accessories created by Nova Chiu’s mother in China.
