This April at Designersblock in Milan sees the debut of Pglassfactory, with wonderful plexiglass jewellery designed by Chiara Scarpitti.
The jewellery is inspired by the mathematical structures of crystals and natural forms, creating dramatic architectural structures.
There will be two collections on show Crystalline and the Sartorialist. The Crystalline designs are made up of numbered elements that can all be taken apart and re-assembled. They are conceived as having an ‘organic’ nature – so they take on different shades of colour depending on the light.
The pieces in the Sartorialist collection are linked together using silk thread and designed as combinations of volumes, planes and flat surfaces.
Chiara Scarpitti studied textiles at Fondazione Roberto Capucci in Florence. after a degree in Fashion Design at Politecnico of Milan and jewellery studies at Polidesign, Milan.
Pglassfactory designed by Chiara Scarpitti will be at Designersblock as part of MOST from April 17-22 2012.
