In conjunction with composer Carlo Peters, students from Köln International School of Design (KISD) have created a site-specific sound and light installation at t.a.t. new talents Designers Tower at 37-39 Agrippastrasse. Selected processes and data flow from the city of Cologne are translated into sounds and images. Twenty three design schools will present their work at imm Cologne this year. The Offenbach University of Art and Design will be there with In Process, products that tell the story of their process and manufacture. The team explain: ‘Design objects are not like archaeologic artefacts that are discovered, grubbed out and then unriddled. As for the past eleven years, imm cologne presents new talents contest D3 and 22 designers will have their product showcased at the fair, with three winning designs chosen by an international jury.
Over at Designers Fair look out for Watwha, a group of students and alumni of FH Dortmund Department of Design who love screen printing! Watwha has built a small analogue screen printing workshop in northern Dortmund and in addition to design, conception and exhibition space, there are screen printing workshops.
