FASHIONCLASH Maastricht showcase of upcoming fashion talent took place May 31 to June 02. Here we look at the catwalk show from Day 1, featuring Bona Kim, AJ Mets, Marta Miljanic, Franziska Michael and Uta Bekaia & The Ideal Glass NY.

The Royal College of Art’s annual fashion show, held at the Kensington Gore site on May 29 showcased the work of 2013’s MA graduates. A futuristic attitude and a distinct flavour of 80′s style influence ran through many of the collections, and the work revealed many accomplished individual statements, executed to a polished, professional level.

We are proud to announce the winners of the WHO’S NEXT PARIS/ARTS THREAD graduate competition. The 10 winners will have the opportunity to showcase their work on the ARTS THREAD stand at Who’s Next Paris July 06-09 2013.

ARTS THREAD went along last Friday o the Paris College of Art’s End of Year show to see work from all the different departments at the school. Behind an unassuming door is a veritable labyrinth of studio spaces, atmospheric of the city of art and design.

At this month’s ICFF, held May 18-21 2013, PALS presented HOME_LESS_HOME, an exhibition of student designs that are inspired by ‘the changing nature of the urban society and the impact of climate change. Historically, social forces have contributed to homelessness on the streets of our most affluent cities. Yet, in an era of Katrina and Sandy and of rapid socio-environmental change, more Americans are redefining ‘home’.’

The Berlin Fashion Film Festival is gearing up for its second edition and is accepting submissions! Fashion designers and filmmakers are invited to submit their fashion films to the Berlin Fashion Film Festival website by May 15. To find out more, click here.

FASHIONCLASH Maastricht 2013 returns for its fifth edition, running for nine days from 31 May. The interdisciplinary event will feature a fashion shows, exhibitions, performances as well as pop-up shops, workshops and presentations throughout several locations in Maastricht.
