The BIAD show featured a diversity of work from kitschy streetwear to modern tailoring. The range of aesthetics on display supported the program’s individual approach to student design.
UWE Bristol’s long awaited graduate show did not disappoint. With an array of knitwear, laser cut garments and a contrast of materials including plastics, Bristol made for a very impressive final display for it’s graduates.
Northbrook students showed that they could take a theme and run with it. The student designers showcased collections with strong stylistic references and a twist of modernity thrown in for good measure.
Bath Spa once again brought their finest work to graduate fashion week, showcasing its fresh talent and astounding the room. An amazing energy of collections showcased expressive prints, plenty of clean lined tailoring and loosely draped fabric.
Three students from Kingston University, Northumbria University and University of Westminster have now been shortlisted for the Mulberry Accessories Award each having very different styles and creativity constructing some really diverse collections.
DMU’s graduate show had a bright and brash urban flavour with stacks of attitude this year.
With the Per AQUUM Marketing Award shortlist being announced there are three very excited students two of which are from UCA Epsom and the other from University of Central Lancashire. All three students have been chosen due to their very high standards of specialized work that are not only visually inspiring but have been very well thought out to produce incredible amounts of work.
An array of accomplished, individual collections was paraded at Epsom’s graduate show this year. Rich and opulent fabric mixes and a decadent air were twists in the thread that ran through much of the work.
Prefaced by The American Dream, an atmospheric short film by Fashion Image Making & Styling graduate Joanathan Flanders, the Salford designers did not disappoint with a runway strong on an opposing mix of denim/casualwaer, sparky kidswear and reworked world tribe decoration.
